Using Blogs to Share Ideas

The creation of the Internet has provided people with many different ways to communicate with one another and research different topics. One of the most popular ways of sharing ideas by using the Internet is with blogs.

While many people are familiar with blogs, there are just as many who do not understand exactly what blogs are or what the purpose of blogs is. Blogs are simply a way for people with common interests to communicate with each other. Blogs can simply be text entries or they can have pictures and links to other websites incorporated into the blog entry. The unusual thing about blogs is that they are usually listed in reverse chronological order, meaning that the most current entries will be listed at the top of the webpage.

The great thing about using personal blogs is that there are many different types of blogs in which people can choose to relay their thoughts and ideas. Blogs can even be grouped into different categories. One type of category of blogs is the media type.

Within the media type, there are three subdivisions of blogs that can be used. The first type of blog within the media type is comprised mainly of videos. Another type of blog that is used within the media type is blogs that are focused on art instead of text entries. Blogs can also be grouped based on the topic that each of the different blogs describe; these blogs are often referred to as genre blogs.
