global warming is inevtiable. it is what we have created to bring in the apocalypse. the four horsemen have been set loose, only time will allow them to take their toll

It is absolutely inevitable; it has already begun. There are things we can do, if we act now, to at least preserve what we have left. It will take an incredibly large amount of people to work toward a combined goal. But it can be done.

its extremely hard to stop it especially now. Alot of the those gases come from car pollution and with huge corporate giants like exxon/mobile buying alternate fuel ideas and keeping them from market so they can profit from poaching our pockets, this will never stop.

second, its beginning to get hard to stop over cultivating the land and cutting down forestation. the world is getting over populated and unless people stop reproducing this will never stop.

im sure there are ways to slow it down, but that will take years, and who knows what it will be like then. this should have been identified and handled in the 70's when this was discovered. i really think now we are on or about to pass the point of no return.

Then it is better act , when there is still something to do.
Smaller countries, like mine(Finland) can do little in global scale.
But every country can do own part, that is way to start.
There are manufactured a lot of products, which isn't necessary for living(but as result ,there are emissions of "greenhouse" gases).
Have to begin use less those products, which require process producing
harmful "gases".
http://www.ipcc.ch . It was today discussed(climate change)in Brussels also .

HOUSTON, Texas (Reuters) -- A Texas-sized piece of the Antarctic ice sheet is thinning, possibly due to global warming, and could cause the world's oceans to rise significantly, polar ice experts said on Wednesday.

They said "surprisingly rapid changes" were occurring in Antarctica's Amundsen Sea Embayment, which faces the southern Pacific Ocean, but that more study was needed to know how fast it was melting and how much it could cause the sea level to rise.

The warning came in a joint statement issued at the end of a conference of U.S. and European polar ice experts at the University of Texas in Austin.

The scientists blamed the melting ice on changing winds around Antarctica that they said were causing warmer waters to flow beneath ice shelves.

The wind change, they said, appeared to be the result of several factors, including global warming, ozone depletion in the atmosphere and natural variability.

The thinning in the two-mile- thick ice shelf is being observed mostly from satellites, but it is not known how much ice has been lost because data is difficult to obtain on the remote ice shelves, they said.

Study is focusing on the Amundsen Sea Embayment because it has been melting quickly and holds enough water to raise world sea levels six meters, or close to 20 feet, the scientists said.

"The place where the biggest change is occurring is the Amundsen Sea Embayment," said Donald Blankenship of the University of Texas Institute for Geophysics.

"One, it's changing, and two, it can have a big impact," he said in a Webcast with a number of conference participants.

Other parts of the continent also were losing ice, he said, but generally not as quickly.

processess have already begun, what else can you do?

It is also extremely hard for people with cancer to get through the day, or for homeless people to find shelter and food, for drug addicts to get clean and hurricane victims to get their lives back. But do they fall victim to circumstance? Global Warming is a catastrophe, but humans are survivors and very much adaptable, if they can find the strength to fight. And before you even say it, yes there are those victims that do allow circumstance to take over. There are certainly those who think there is nothing we can do. But for those of us willing to fight for our lives, we do have options; there is time and room to recover.

first i will thank lauren to invite me to join such a perfect place to be and then i salute all you frnds.

as puris ominia pura said it is very true and we are not only servivors but we also are the caretakers
and fuirt eaters of this tree called earth.
no matters how worse it will get the real force of existence has and will find the way towards life.
here i can suggest a very simple coarse of action that can be executated with less efforts and resources.
i dont know how this is possible in (U.S.) kind of place but it can result in really best fruits that can be achieved.
this is how it goes-:
one person(x) takes one plant(p) once a month(m) and seed it to a place where there is lesser greenery and take care of it untill it starts to grow on itself.
now calculate
1(p) * 12(m)=12trees
1(x) * 12(p) *20years=240trees
say 100 trees die then 140 trees still standing
now it gets big when only
500(p) * 240trees = 70000trees in twenty years
i think it will be foolish to calculate further as you all know what will be the result if person with positive approach and willfull action increase.
if we can turn this beautiful garden in a gaseous chamber than we can revert it also i think ther are two things
1) there is no process in nature that can not be reverted
2) things like these can work but not just by blogging and sharing thoughts but by thinking simple efforts and seriously
acting towards it

so frnds are you ready to count a little pay back money towards mother nature and a little time towards yourself and our beautiful home.
so friends arise and start your monthly action plan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
