The
Board of Directors of
St. John the Evangelist International Preschool recently
launched the Scholarship Programme for the underprivileged starting
schoolyear (SY) 2008-2009. This aims to support working mothers from
indigent families with children aged six and below. The program will
allow families to have their children attend preschool without having
to worry about school fees, supplies, transportation and daily
expenses. The programme will also provide income opportunities for the
mothers providing them with trainings and skills workshops, as well as
allow mothers to continue work as they may leave their young children
to the school staff for the class period that takes a half day, enough
for a working mother to attend to her work duties and obligation.
The
Board of Directors call out to individuals, the international community
and the private sector to support the program by sponsoring a
child/children. Donations in form of checques or money order maybe made
payable to:
