Hey! I'm happy to be a part of this group, and I want to work towards stopping global warming so that I can help preserve the world I live in.
I love to bicycle, play guitar, hike, watch American football, and read everything from sci-fi and fantasy to classic literature.
I try to help improve my environment by bicycling nearly everywhere I go, buying locally grown food whenever possible, recycling, and contributing to environmental political activism in whatever way I can.
I also happen to support all efforts to stop unnecessary conflicts, hunger, political oppression, sexism, and racism.
I'm glad to be here at the Global Warming Group, where we all have a voice and a chance to make a positive difference for the environment!

Hello! I am certainly excited to see how fast this group has grown in such a short amount of time and would love to take this time to thank you all for joining!
Much like rajuncajun, I do what I can to prevent all conflicts. Global Warming is of particular interest to me because it affects the future world for my son and his potential children and so on. I guess you could say that becoming a mother opened my eyes to the hurt and potential danger of the world.
I carpool, take the bus and walk wherever possible. When I do drive I do not use Exxon Gas! LOL. (See BellaDonna’s bulletin on that if you don’t already know.) I eat organic food whenever possible, use recycled material when I can as well as recycle what can be recycled, and conserve water. I donate as much as I can to different organizations and attend events that sponsor multiple causes.
Aside from Global Warming, other conflicts that I feel strongly about are domestic and child abuse and poverty/homelessness. I am lucky enough to work with an organization called the Maximization Foundation that helps homeless shelters. If I could adopt every hurt child, believe me I would. But in the mean time I sponsor organizations that can by donating clothes, food and other items whenever possible.
I am not a material girl and don’t have many unnecessary things. I have been through a LOT in my life and I have seen people pass their breaking point. I know what it is like to need help, so I help when I can. It is not about what I could potentially get in return, but how much I can potentially give.

Hey, on a side note, you just reminded me - I am doing a benefit ride on Apr. 22, 2007 in Paradise Valley for an organization called Ride For The Children. It's a 65-mile ride, but anyone can join up and ride for either 10 or 25 miles. This goes fast on a bike.
Their website is www.rideforthechildren.com, and all the riders' minimum donations of $50.00 go towards helping Arizona's homeless children. I know this is not related to global warming, but it is a community-strengthening event, and I plan on promting the Global Warming group after the ride at this event. If anyone in Arizona sees this and is interested in knowing more, let me know!

Hello!! I'm so glad to be a part of this group! I will help in any way I can to stop the Global Warming!!
I carpool with friends when we go out, and with my boyfriend when we go to work.
I try to recycle as much as I can and try to help where ever I can!! I also donate all of the things I don't need anymore...
If I can donate a lot more to every organization I would!!!

, The layer of ozone or ozonosphere indicates the part of stratosphere containing a relatively large quantity of ozone (concentration about a percent thousand). This ozone is produced by the action of the solar radiation on the molecules of dioxygene at high altitude (between 20 and 50 km of altitude). At this high altitude, the layer of ozone causes to absorb most of the ultraviolet solar radiation, which is dangerous being for the living organisms. One distinguishes: “good ozone” present in the stratospheric layer , good bus it protects us from rays UV (ultraviolet); “bad ozone” present as of the low layer of the atmosphere (troposphere: ground until approximately 20 km of altitude), bad bus it is that which we breathe and who has according to his concentration a certain toxicity (cf: standards of Quality of the Air). In the absence of this layer of ozone, the life would not have been possible that in the oceans, at a sufficient distance from the surface of water. It was the case during the éon Archéen, when the atmosphere of the Earth was deprived of dioxygene (and thus of ozone). At the end of the years 1970, scientific research in the Antarctic highlighted a periodic reduction in ozone in this polar area. What one called the “hole of the layer of ozone” forms in spring in the Antarctic (at the beginning of the polar “night”) and increases during several months before being reduced.

I might don't know all the causes of global warming and explaination, but I know that i will do everything to preserve World Beauty, and try to convice people to act like they want to do something and not just sign petition or sayin at dinner:" we need to do something about global warming!", I believe that alle the smallest thing we can do could help it a bit even if it just delay it!!

Hello,I'm Robert and I'm glad to be here. I walk to work (it's just 10min away from my home). I think that people should start changing their habits in order to accomplish something,but the point is that we(humans,generally) are too comfortable with how things are and some of us don't wanna change our habits.
