Destiny Hope Cyrus is the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus. She is named after her mother, but since her mother died she has decided to go by Miley. Miley managed to acquire the star role in the new Disney Channel original series, Hannah Montana. She stars as Miley Stewart, a teenage girl that leads a double life as a regular girl and rockstar, Hannah Montana. On the show she and her best friend, Lilly, must deal with everyday problems and bullies (the popular girls). But at the end of the day they both enjoy her famous lifestyle and try to fend off the paparazzi. She said the first time she sang in a concert was when she went up on stage with her dad and sang "Hound Dog". She almost always wears a ring with the word "Love" inscribed on it. It was a gift from her father to mother, Destiny. Her favorite novel is "Don't Die, My Love" by Lurlene McDaniel. She will be the opening act for the band "The Cheetah Girls" on their concert tour in fall of 2006. She says that her favorite song of her dad's is "Achey Breaky Heart". Her favorite snack is cookie dough. She attended the Hollywood premiere for the DVD version of "High School Musical". Her favorite TV show is "Laguna Beach". She is a born-again Christian. She came in at #6 on the "Hollywood Hot List" according to TEEN magazine poll. Her song (That she sings as Hannah Montana) "Best of Both Worlds" was #1 on Radio Disney's top 30 countdown for the weeks of June 19th, 2006, June 26th, 2006, July 3rd, 2006 & July 10th, 2006. Her favorite Disney Channel TV show is "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody". Her celebrity crush is Ryan Cabrera. Her favorite cookie is a sugar cookie. Her song, Pumpin' Up the Party Now, was featured in a 2006 Disney Channel So Hot Summer Commercial. She sang a duet called "Stand" with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, on his album "Wanna Be Your Joe". Her likeness was used to create the "Jackson's Beach Treat Delivery" for Disney Channel's website. Her likeness (& her character likeness, Hannah Montana) was used to create the "Rock Star Fashion Challenge" for Disney Channel's website. Her favorite movie is "Steel Magnolia's". She preformed in concert as both herself & as Hannah Montana on June 21st & June 22nd at Disneywolrd's Typhoon Lagoon in Orlando, Florida. She was also promoting her show "Hannah Montana" along with her co-stars Mitchel Musso & Emily Osment. She has a dog named Tex. Her favorite album is "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson. She likes to listen to pop & rock music. She says that dogs are her favorite kind of animals. She admits that anything & everything makes her laugh. She loves to listen to the sound of the rain. She thinks that 1:00 AM is the best time of the day. She says that the school subjects she likes the most are math & creative writing. She says that she wants to go to Italy someday. She had to have braces put on her teeth in early 2006, but because the dentist's was able to hide them by putting on the other side of her teeth, no one notices them. She was born on the same day as actor Boris Karloff, comedian Harpo Marx, costume designer Erte, & actor Lucas Grabeel. Since she no longer goes to regular school due to the hectic schedule for "Hannah Montana", she is tutored on the set. She will be recording an "All Miley" album to be released in 2007. Miley: Sometimes I'll be punky, the next day I'll be preppy. Every day after work, my mom and I go shopping. My dad is about to kill me. I say, 'We need it, daddy!' Her family moved to Los Angeles in December of 2005. She is in the 7th grade. She became good friends with her co-stars, Emily Osment (Lilly)& Michel Musso (Oliver), when they met on the set of "Hannah Montana". They all text message each other when they're on stage & they use the three-way caling to talk when they are at home. She was bitten by the acting bug on the set of her father show "Doc". Miley has before been in a cheerleading competition with her cheerleading squad. Miley: I'll be out with my friends and be recognized, and little girls will ask me for my autograph. It is so much fun living out your dream. It (Her show "Hannah Montana") totally reflects me 100%. She had to leave her almost all of her pets with her grandmother when she moved to Los Angeles. However, she was able to bring her Loco with her. Miley: (About her character) I think Hannah gets nervous just like any other person would. She's like a dork, personally. She's just really, really fun. Gary Marsh, Disney Channel entertainment president said they chose Miley for the role of Hannah Montana because they saw a girl who has this natural ebullience and loves every minute of her life, which shows in her demeanor and performance. Some of Miley's hobbies are dancing, cheerleading, singing, playing the guitar and writing music. Miley's favorite pop singers are Hilary Duff , Kelly Clarkson and Ashlee Simpson. She has signed with Hollywood Records for a four-album record deal. Hollywood Records is also the recording label for Hilary Duff's music. She has already written over 100 songs, some featured in the new show "Hannah Montana". Has a younger half-brother on her father's side named Braison Cyrus. Has an older step-brother named Trace Cyrus. Has an older half-brother on her father's side named Christopher Cody Cyrus. Has an older step-sister named Brandi Cyrus. She is 5 feet, 5 inches tall.
