| Who is MEVLANA
Mevlana The great Turkish mystic and poet Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi was born on September 30, 1207 A.D. According to Mevlana, love is the only thing necessary to attain God. Mevlana exalts the state of being in love with a woman, because if someone loves someone else, he also loves himself, humanity, the universe and God. The most beautiful love, 'Love of Truth', begins when someone reaches this level of wisdom. Followers of Mevlana (Mevlevi) spin around and around in a ritual called Sema. This ritual symbolizes a world united in love and keeping step with the world's universal rotation. While one of their hands points to the sky, the other hand points to the ground meaning , Love from God spreads to the earth. He means that the universe is an endless place within the existence of God, and as a small part of the whole. Man keeps that divine essence inside him by saying, -"You who search for God, it's you that you are searching for...." Mevlana was not only a great poet and philosopher but first and foremost he was a mystic, a spiritually touched man. His mind and heart had reached for heights and depths of the spiritual world. In his vision there were two universes which coincided in Man. POEMS One went to the door of the Beloved and knocked. A voice asked, 'Who is there?' He answered, 'It is I.' The voice said, 'There is no room for Me and Thee.' The door was shut. After a year of solitude and deprivation he returned and knocked. A voice from within asked, 'Who is there?' The man said, 'It is Thee.' The door was opened for him. In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art. Today, like every other day, we wake up empty and frightened. Don't open the door to the study and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument. Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground. The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you. Don't go back to sleep. You must ask for what you really want. Don't go back to sleep. People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch. The door is round and open. Don't go back to sleep. I would love to kiss you. The price of kissing is your life. Now my loving is running toward my life shouting, What a bargain, let's buy it. Daylight, full of small dancing particles and the one great turning, our souls are dancing with you, without feet, they dance. Can you see them when I whisper in your ear? The garden of Love is green without limit and yields many fruits other than sorrow and joy. Love is beyond either condition: without spring, without autumn, it is always fresh.

SEMA(Ritual movement) According to Exalted Mevlana Sema is the unification with Allah (God) in order to hear the question of Allah to spirit particels 'Am I your Lord?'and the answer of them.'Yes,You are our Lord', and be in an ecstatic attitude. Those particles whirl around the light of the Sun performing Sema like Sufis;however,no one knows with which tune,which beat,and what sort of instrument they do that. Sema is greeting -from the secret privates in the heart.. Sema is the comfort and peace to the soul of the livings. The ones who have spirit in their soul know this. If the Sema performers perform Sema even if one in the east and the other in the west know about their attitudes. Sema is for the unification with the darling who pleases the heart. What can the music and the tambouring do to the one who cannot see the ore-like moon in his essence? Put the soil over the ones who are frozen,not seized by the influence of music,and soul lower than the one who passed away.. When you enter into Sema,you leave from the both worlds;the world of Sema is out of the two universes. The roof of the seventh heaven is an eminent roof;but the Sema ladder reaches over it,it is more exalted than of that. The people who face towards the Kiblah(Mecca)are also in Sema in this world and the other world as well.. Above all,if there is the Kaaba in the center of the ones performing Sema in a circle..
