'Johnny Rotter' takes to the stage with all the manic, man-possessed energy required to leave any audience spell-bound, with 'stare' & 'stance' down to perfection and an arsenal of one-liners to boot. Don't mess with Johnny, he'll shoot you down in flames! 
Kid Vicious posing and playing up to the crowd, fighting for attention, but only getting it from 'Nancy Pungent', who during his 'Kid Sings' set might join him on stage at the microphone. He definitely does it 'his way', but unlike 'Sid' the 'Kid' can play, and don't get too close or that bass might come swinging your way.!? 
Steve Bones in his tight leather Jean's, trade mark Gibson & an eye for the girls, plays, as Steve Diggle of the 'Buzzcocks' said of him " A crashing guitar sound Steve Jones would be proud of..!" 
Paul Crook drives the whole thing along relentlessly with the powerhouse of his solid, pounding, drum kit. Always late, but never missing a beat.! Sat proudly behind his Premier Union Jack drum - kit flying the flag for the Sex Pistols Experience! 
Then there's Nancy, always knocking about somewhere causing trouble, can usually be found selling off T-shirts at the merch stall, sometime's the group manage to get away without telling her there's a gig tonight!! So she's not always there! But if you want to stay on the right side of her - a Vodka & coke will do it.! |

The Sex Pistols Experience are the worlds leading tribute to the most dirty, filthy, & controvercial rock'n'roll band of all time.! They’ve played well over 1000+ worldwide shows, are regulars on the European touring & festival scene, & have, to date, completed three extensive tours of the USA, taking in cities from New York to L.A, El Paso to Seattle & everywhere inbetween. So convincing is the live show that the BBC, Sky TV, Channel 4 and Fox t.v in the u.s have all used them for re-enactments in film & T.V documentaries on punk and the Sex Pistols. The Sex pistols Experience have had the thumbs up from many of the original band and their inner circle – they’ve played live with Guitarist Steve Jones in Los Angeles, had bassist Glen Matlock guesting on the same bill in Liverpool, & Sid Vicious's guitarist 'Steve Dior' perform with them on stage at London's legendary 100 Club, and regularly play with Ed Tenpole Tudor, star of the Sex Pistols film ‘The Great Rock n Roll Swindle’. No other Sex Pistols show has the commitment to perfecting the look and sound down to every last detail, making sure every concert performed is as dynamic, explosive & exciting as the 'real deal'. They have all the spit & venom of the ‘77 period, blended with the ability of the seasoned musicians of the 1996 & 2003 reformation tours. A Sex Pistols Experience show is a rare chance to hear all the classics from one of the most influential albums of all time - 'Never Mind the Bollocks', ripping through gigs with rousing renditions of ‘Pretty Vacant’, 'God Save The Queen', ‘Anarchy in the U.K’, ‘Holidays in the Sun’, Sid’s Vicious's classic version of ‘My Way’, plus a few suprises, B side's & rarities thrown in. | Nancy Spungen
Nancy Spungen never wrote a song or played in a band in her life yet she has assumed a position in rock mythology that has made te the image of her tumbling peroxided hair and kohled eyes as immortal as Sid's and forever joined as punks most famous couple. Mixed up kid, music lover, exotic dancer, whore, groupie, starf***er, drug addict and lastly girlfriend of Sid Vicious dead in the Chelsea Hotel New York. One view sees a manipulative siren leading Sid Vicious to his death through drugs - 'A Titanic waiting for an iceberg to happen' said Johnny Rotten; 'nauseous Nancy' said others. Another view sees a young disturbed 19 year old girl just following a dream in music, falling in love with another damage case and becoming a tragic doomed couple at odds with the world ending in violent death. A death and a life forgotten in the media frenzy as her partner and alleged killer, Sid, died soon after. Nancy Spungen on her own was always destined to be a girl in the back of someone else's photograph. Sid Vicious and death gave her infamy. Who was the real Nancy? As usual the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

| UK Punk Bands
"Dedicated to all the small labels, who are (were) in it for the fun and glory - not just the money" Sleeve note 'Raw Deal' compilation 1977 (Raw Records) As well as The Clash's and Sex Pistols, Punk threw up a multitude of bands who often released the one single on their own record label before fading into obscurity. Some never even made it that far. Though this site is primarily concerned with UK Punk 1976-79 I have added a US section as it is impossible to define & describe Punk rock in isolation to the US. Click Here This section is a continual work in progress and attempts to list all those bands who gave it a go. Old entries for bands are updated and re-written as new info / pictures come to light and are often supplemented with interviews and recollections. Check out the the latest issue of Punk77 to see recent changes/additions. If there are bands you think should be there then email me and provide the entry for the site and get a name check. If you can't be bothered to do that then I can't be bothered to add them.
