Banter Records began in 2005 with the signing of The Antiques, a standout in the Los Angeles music scene. Local San Diegans The Clock Work Army joined on soon after and the label released its first pair of records. Their newest addition, 20 year old Boddicker recently finished recording his debut album with Brian Deck, famed producer of Modest Mouse and Iron & Wine. The label is currently slating no less than eight new releases by the end of 2008.
