PerfSpot introduces Applications
You won't want to miss out on the new PerfSpot Applications! We've added a gallery of games and other apps that you can add directly to your profile page.
PerfSpot has also released an Applications Manager that can be used to control the placement and layout of the apps on your Public and Private profiles.
PerfSpot will be adding new apps to the gallery on a regular basis. Be on the lookout for more advanced application features designed to interact in creative ways with your profile!

Free UNLIMITED document upload and storage
PerfSpot now allows you to upload and store online as many documents as you wish. All major formats are supported (.pdf, .ps, .doc, .docx, .txt, .rtf, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .pps, .odt, .odp, .sxw, .sxi).
This convenient new feature allows you to keep your important documents accessible at all times through your PerfSpot account. Keep your documents private or share them with the PerfSpot community.
The "Documents" section is located in the "Connect" tab.
Premium Videos
PerfSpot has just launched a Premium Videos section, offering new, professionally produced video content for you, updated every day.
The Hollywood Report delivers daily celebrity coverage to satisfy your gossip craving. Learn the latest scoop on your favorite celebrities! You can also get hints on helping to reduce your carbon footprint and saving our environment in the Green News section.
Professional bartenders teach you how to make delicious and delightful drinks in Girls Mixing Drinks.

View your Friends' Albums
Photo sharing is one of the most heavily used and favorite features of PerfSpot members. In the new "Friend Pictures" section you can view all the new albums your Friends have created, sorted by date. Newest albums are displayed first, so check this section frequently and make sure you don't miss any great new photo albums your Friends create!

Recommended Friends
PerfSpot has added a powerful new way to make new Friends. The Recommended Friends section of your site displays profiles of members that you have a high percentage of already knowing and/or have a great deal in common with.
This exciting new feature was designed to help you make great new Friends and reconnect with people you may already know.
This feature works best for members that have joined Networks and have several Friends. If you do not have any Recommended Friends make sure you enter your Network information and use the Invite Friends and/or User Search tools to get started making new Friends.

Set Your Top Friends
PerfSpot offers you complete control over which of your Friends appears in your list of Top Friends on your PerfLife profile. We've recently added additional functionality to the 'Set My Top Friends' area, including a dropdown filter and paging. This makes it much easier for you to browse your entire Friends list, and choose who you want to add to your Top Friends.
Make New Friends with a Text or Voice Message
PerfSpot's recent partnership with Jangl allows members from all over the world* to use their PerfSpot accounts to communicate with their PerfSpot Friends through their computer and mobile phones. Members that have taken advantage of this incredible free** service can send and receive messages from other members, even if one or both are offline.
Even better, calls, text and voicemail messages can be sent without revealing your personal contact information. You have complete control over who can and can not contact you, and your mobile phone number will never be revealed! Total privacy, the PerfSpot way.
Now this great feature can be used to make new Friends on PerfSpot! Previously, members had to already be Friends to use the "Call/Text For Free" option. Now you can text/voice message PerfSpot members that you may not know, but would like to become Friends with.
You are limited to just one voice or text message with members that have not accepted you as a Friend, but making a new Friend is as simple as replying to the original message. Once a reply is made you automatically become Friends, and you get unlimited calling and voice/text messaging as well as all the other advantages of being a PerfSpot Friend.
This is truly unique service that you do not want to miss out on. Take the time to explore this innovative new feature of PerfSpot, we think you're going to like it!

Browse Interest Groups
Participation in the newly released Interest Groups is spreading through the PerfSpot member base like wildfire! Interest Groups instantly enable members to find other PerfSpot members with similar hobbies, tastes, opinions, likes and dislikes.
Thousands of Interest Groups have already been created, collectively containing hundreds of thousands of PerfSpot members!
To aid in the discovery process and further expose this exciting and expanding new feature, PerfSpot has added the additional capability for members to browse Interest Groups. The 'Browse Interests' section allows you to select and view all the Interest Groups in a variety of categories.
Local Search
PerfSpot is a constantly growing community with millions of members from all over the world. To better serve your needs, PerfSpot has added the ability to further refine User Search results beyond 'Country' to specific geographic regions within each country.
This improvement makes connecting with members in specific areas easier and more relevant. At the center of the information hub that drives this new functionality lie the 'Region' networks. PerfSpot utilizes the member-submitted Region network information to display members within a specific area or nearby area.
Visit the User Search section to explore this powerful addition. If you wish to be included in precise user search results, be sure to participate in the Region section of networks and add your Region.
Security Settings - Take Control
PerfSpot has gone to great lengths to provide members with not only a safe environment but to also empower users to control the accessibility of their site and content. Our team has redesigned and added new features in the Security Settings section of your site.
PerfLife Main and Extras
PerfSpot's features are rapidly expanding to meet member needs and expectations. As more features are added, we want to maintain a site that is easy to understand and as user-friendly as possible. Your new PerfLife page has been reconfigured with improved functionality and expandability.
The "Main" section of your PerfLife contains your most dynamic features and activity reports. It includes quick links that place any section of your profile just a click away.
The "Extras" section houses additional features of your profile that demand additional space of their own. By keeping the page as organized as possible, PerfSpot's goal is to provide a superior site to our new members, while keeping things fresh for our experienced members who have already mastered the exciting features of PerfSpot.
Grapevine 2.0
PerfSpot's development team has just released a new version of the Grapevine with powerful new features and a much more user friendly interface.
Your PerfSpot Grapevine is a live feed that reports the various activities of your Friends (uploading pictures, joining groups, adding favorites and much more). Since it was created, the Grapevine has been an incredibly popular feature. However, because the number of Friend connections within PerfSpot has been growing so rapidly, many of our most active members had Grapevines that were becoming too overwhelming.
The first thing you will notice is your Grapevine has been condensed without losing any features. You can now view much more content in a shorter period of time. PerfSpot has added new filter options that allow you to quickly view the updates of your choice.
Don't forget that you have complete control over not only what is piped into your Grapevine, but also what activities are broadcast out to your Friends through your Buzz. Both inbound and outbound notifications can be completely turned off or adjusted with three security settings*. The "Advanced Mode" in your Grapevine Settings section gives you complete control of the level of Friends that see your activity and allows you to moderate the level of Friends you receive updates from.
*security settings: Throughout our site PerfSpot offers four security settings giving you complete control of who can view your content. 1 - Everyone, 2 - Friends, 3 - Best Friends, 4 - Only Me.
Interest Update
The recently launched Interest Groups have become extremely popular. Interest Groups are a great way to meet likeminded people and share more about yourself with your Friends. PerfSpot has added indicators in the PerfLife section of your site that will notify you when new members have joined an Interest Group you are a part of.
Photo Update
PerfSpot has increased the number of albums displayed on your Public and Private Profiles from three to five. This change was done in an effort to keep your site as clean and content rich as possible. Up to five of your most recently created picture albums will now be displayed on your Public Profile.
Your PerfSpot URL
PerfSpot allows you to customize and build your own personal website. It's great to have a catchy URL for your own website, so we created a new tool to give you a helping hand. In the "Personal Info" section of your site you can now change the URL of your site whenever and as often as you like. Whatever username you choose will dictate where your visitors will need to go to view your site.

Changes to your username will influence your personal join URL as well:
http://www.perfspot.com/j/[your username]
People that visit your personal join URL and become PerfSpot members will automatically be added as your friend.
Please keep in mind that changes to your username will cause your old URL to not work or possibly link to a new member that selects the old URL you have given up. All PerfSpot member URLs must be unique so we have included a "Check Availability" button to help you find an available username.

Online Now
The Online Now section allows you to see the profiles of members that are currently logged on to PerfSpot. This section features thousands of pre-screened PerfSpot members that have met the requirements to have their profile displayed. If you come across someone that's interesting, reach out and say hello! It's a great way to meet new people on PerfSpot!
If you would like your profile to be included in the "Online Now" section whenever you are logged into PerfSpot, please make sure you have:
1 - Uploaded a valid profile picture
2 - Verified your email address
3 - Set your Online Now privacy setting to "Show"
4 - Must be at least 18 years of age

Birthdays
Want to see which of your PerfSpot Friends have an upcoming birthday in the next week? This new section displays the date and ages of all of your Friends that have a birthday within the next seven days. If you don't want your Friends knowing your age visit the Privacy Options section of your site and set "Display Age" to "Hide", we'll still let your Friends know it is your birthday but won't let them know your age.
You will find an overview of upcoming birthdays in your PerfLife section just below the music player with a "View All" link that provides additional details.
User Search
The user search is the most popular section of PerfSpot! Our members tell us they love it because, using the new search criteria tools, they can quickly locate PerfSpot members they want to make friends with. This new user search has larger profile pictures, simplified search-by-name functionality, and new browsing options that make locating an individual or an entire group of PerfSpot members just a click away.

Want to share your interests with members who visit your PerfSpot profile, and even meet other PerfSpotters who share your interests? The new Interest section allows you to input your favorite Activities, Beverages, Books, Celebrities, Foods, Magazines, Movies, Music, Night Spots, Restaurants, Sports, TV Show and Vacation spots.
You can create your own personal interests or choose from existing interests created by other members. Whichever you choose, you will be able to easily connect with other members who share your same interests. You never know who you might meet! Be sure to enter one interest at a time. Find and Invite Your Friends
PerfSpot's new Invite Friends tool makes inviting your friends to join you on PerfSpot a breeze! You can now check your Hotmail, Yahoo, GMail, AOL, MSN and Live email accounts for existing friends that have already joined PerfSpot.
You can also use the new tool to select all the email contacts you would like to send an invitation to join PerfSpot, and once they accept, they will automatically appear as your Friend!

View All Friends
PerfSpot is all about making new friends. As your network grows our team focuses on keeping your site as manageable and user friendly as possible. We have enhanced the "View All Friends" sections of your public and private profiles to make it simple to find exactly what you are looking for. Whether it is a specific individual friend or a group of users you'll now find them in a beat of a heart. Be sure to check out both the detailed and gallery views.
Click the "View All" in the Friends section of a profile to experience this great new feature.
Set your Top Friends
You asked and we listened! Now PerfSpot users can promote their favorite people to "Top Friends". This new segment of the profile allows you to quickly locate friends you wish to display on your public profile as your "Top Friends". Try out the new 'Drag and Drop' and Username autocomplete tools that make it even easier to find your favorite friends!
You will find the "Set Top Friends" tool in the Friends section of your PerfLife/Private profile.
Bookmarking
As the PerfSpot social network grows, the amount of popular and quality content increases exponentially. From creative public profiles and thrilling videos, to cutting edge music, incredible pictures and stimulating blogs, there are an ever-increasing number pages that PerfSpot members would like to return to later or share with friends on other networks across the internet. To help facilitate the process, PerfSpot has added powerful Bookmarking software that allows you to link the content you love to a number of the most popular news and link sites, including: IE Favorites, Del.icio.us, Facebook, StumbleUpon, Newsvine, Technorati, Yahoo, Ask, Slashdot and many more.
You will see this  located throughout the network next to content you might want to bookmark. Go ahead, give it a try right now, just click the button to Bookmark this page!
Profile Picture Cropping
Looking to create that Perfect profile picture to show your friends and visitors? With the new Profile Picture cropping tool you can! This new feature allows you to easily crop your profile picture to the perfect size.
To create a new and improved Profile Picture, just click Profile Picture below your current profile picture in the PerfLife/Private Profile section of your site.
Increased Efforts to Combat Abuse
PerfSpot is dedicated to providing a safe and friendly environment to all of our members. We are proud to say that this network is seen and used by people from all over the world, ages 13 to 107! Our dedicated customer support staff's number one task is to ensure that the less than 1% of abusive accounts are quickly isolated and removed. In addition to new, more powerful automated tools, many times it is reports from members that serve as our first line of defense. PerfSpot has added a number of new 'Report Abuse' button locations that allow members to report abuse directly to our staff. If you or anyone you know is ever harassed or offended by another PerfSpot member, please let us know!
You will find the " Report Abuse" option on all PerfBoard comments.
Launched Picture War
Since PerfSpot was launched almost a year ago, millions of pictures have been submitted by our members. We quickly realized we needed a fun and creative way to share some of these great images to all members! One of the most entertaining ways to view popular content is in the new Picture War section. Pictures from matching categories and similar popularity are matched head to head, you choose your favorite of the two, and then see the collective results of the thousands of members participating.
To submit your own pictures just click the "Upload" tab in the upper right corner of your page and be sure to select the "Submit to Perf Pictures" option to include your pictures in the Picture War.
To view the Picture War section, click the Pictures tab just below the PerfSpot logo then select "Picture War" from the sub navigation bar.
Created Profile Visit History
Each profile you visit is conveniently stored in your Profile Visit History. This section is a great way to navigate back to a profile you can't remember or haven't made friends with yet.
You will find your Profile Visit History in your PerfLife/private profile beneath the quick links under your profile picture.
Launched Public Picture Section
The power of PerfSpot lies in the collective energy of our rapidly expanding member base. When you upload pictures to your account, you now have the option to "Submit to Perf Pictures". By doing so, your pictures will be reviewed and posted in the newly redesigned Pictures Section. All visitors to PerfSpot will be able to view and rate your pictures with the most popular earning center stage on the Pictures homepage. You can be a PerfSpot Star!
Click the Pictures tab just below the PerfSpot logo to view picture submissions from your fellow PerfSpotters. To submit your own pictures just click the Upload tab in the upper right corner of the page.
